Staff & training
Personnel receive training for their work and are assessed before starting the operation. Continued training supports consistent working methods.
FIVE AREAS OF CONTROL
The quality assurance programme covers five areas of control, from training and equipment to the inspection of finished products.
Personnel receive training for their work and are assessed before starting the operation. Continued training supports consistent working methods.
Equipment and process controls support the planned manufacturing route. Key parameters and operations are reviewed against the component requirements.
Raw materials are sourced from qualified suppliers and checked on receipt. The quality guidance includes dimensional, visual, chemical and spectrometric examination.
Operator inspection is combined with QC sampling and checks at key operations. Nonconforming parts are separated and their causes reviewed before the next step.
Finished parts are reviewed against the agreed inspection and sampling requirements. Inspection records support the release of the component.
AGREE THE INSPECTION SCOPE
The inspection scope can include chemical analysis, mechanical testing, impact and hardness testing, radiography and pressure testing. Required methods, sampling and records are agreed for the project.
